The Challenge
Belton School District wanted to create a stronger sense of identity and improve safety across its campuses. While the district had passionate staff and strong academics, its hallways, common areas, and signage lacked cohesion. The goal was to transform these spaces into a source of pride for students and faculty while enhancing visibility, safety, and school spirit.
Our Approach
We began with an in-depth, on-site branding audit to capture the culture, values, and personality of each school. From there, we developed a district-wide design system rooted in the Belton “Pirate” theme. Every element—from murals to window wraps—was custom-designed to reflect the spirit and mission of the district while staying functional for high-traffic areas.
The Goals:
- Strengthen the district’s brand identity
- Create a unified look and feel across all buildings
- Enhance school pride and student belonging
- Improve visitor experience and campus wayfinding
- Integrate security-focused design with school branding
Key Installations:
- Interior Wall Murals: Timelines, quotes, and custom illustrations that reflect school history and inspire pride
- Commons & Cafeteria Graphics: Bold use of mascot, color palette, and student-focused themes
- Exterior Signage: Branded entrances and athletic facility graphics to support both wayfinding and school pride
- Window & Door Wraps: Reinforced safety at access points while enhancing the visual identity
Creative Highlights:
- Modernized mascot artwork and typography
- Student quotes and custom illustrations incorporated into hallways
- Clean, durable materials built for long-term use
- Branded touchpoints across every entry and shared space
Results
Feedback from staff and students has been overwhelmingly positive. Hallways feel more energized, common spaces more inviting, and parents and visitors now enter buildings that reflect the pride and professionalism of the district. Additional phases are currently underway.
